Industry Specific Compliance The Ministry of Coal (MoC) on September 09, 2026, issued the Colliery Control (Second Amendment) Rules, 2026, further to amend the Colliery Control Rules, 2004.

They shall come into force on September 16, 2026.

Rule 13 shall be substituted with “13. Penalty.— Whoever contravenes the provisions of these rules shall be liable to penalty as per the provisions of section 25A and 25B of the Act and the rules made thereunder, that is, the Mines and Minerals Adjudication of Penalties Rules, 2026 ” .
